NAIROBI, Kenya – National Police Service football clubs Kenya Police FC and APS Bomet FC have completed their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2026/2027 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League campaign.
The two sides concluded their final friendly matches over the weekend, using the fixtures to assess player fitness, tactical organisation and the integration of new signings before the new league season.
APS Bomet Test Squad In Homa Bay
APS Bomet FC held its final pre-season camp at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, where the team played two matches over the weekend.
The law enforcers were held to a goalless draw by Shabana FC on Saturday in a match that provided the technical bench with an opportunity to assess the team’s defensive organisation against top-flight opposition.
APS Bomet returned to action on Sunday and secured a 2-1 victory over City Boys FC.
Evans Kipkemoi and Bruno scored for APS Bomet as the team completed its pre-season campaign with a win.
Kenya Police FC Edge 3K FC
Meanwhile, Kenya Police FC travelled to Embu on Sunday for a friendly against newly promoted 3K FC at a packed Moi Stadium.
Victor Haki opened the scoring for Kenya Police in the 20th minute with a low strike that gave the visitors a 1-0 lead at the break.
3K FC responded shortly after half-time, with Glen Githinji converting from the penalty spot in the 49th minute to level the contest.
The match ended 1-1 after regulation time, forcing a penalty shootout.
Kenya Police FC held their nerve from the spot to secure victory and finish their pre-season preparations on a winning note.
The fixture was played after the Chapa Dimba finals, adding to a busy football weekend in the Eastern region.
Police Teams Turn Focus To League
With their pre-season programmes now complete, both NPS teams will turn their attention to the 2026/2027 FKF Premier League season.
The friendly matches gave the clubs an opportunity to test their squads, assess tactical combinations and provide competitive minutes before the start of the league campaign.
