MOMBASA, Kenya- Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has hosted a three-day retreat for lawmakers affiliated with the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), bringing together senators, members of parliament, county leaders and party officials at the Coast.
In a statement, Gachagua said the retreat is aimed at reviewing the past year and planning ahead, with a particular focus on the 2027 General Election.
He described the meeting as an opportunity for like-minded legislators to align their political strategy and prepare for what he termed a push to “liberate” the country from what he called poor leadership.
“We shall have time to review the year that was and plan ahead for the year and the 10th August 2027,” Gachagua said, referring to the next general election date.
