I Am Not a Mole – Junet Mohammed

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed has denied claims that he acted as a mole within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

“How can I be a mole in my own party, where I am a senior official with the responsibility to make sure the party succeeds?” Junet said during a live TV interview on JKL.

He outlined his long-standing political relationship with the late ODM leader Raila Odinga, noting that he was made mayor and later elected MP with Odinga’s support.

He also addressed his absence from the team that traveled to India to receive Odinga’s body, citing health reasons.

Regarding party leadership, Junet defended the swift appointment of Oburu Odinga as party chair.

“ODM is a small government; you can’t leave it hanging; anything can happen,” he said.

He added that ODM remains stable, with differing opinions among members not amounting to formal factions.
