MOLO, Nakuru- Police are searching for a man suspected of killing an 18-year-old student at her home in Kiambaa, Molo Sub-County.
The victim, identified in a police report as Joy Wangui, was a Form Four student at Molo Secondary School. Her brother, Ken Macharia, told police he had left her at home and found her dead when he returned.
The report, recorded at Molo Police Station on September 4, said officers from the station and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations went to the scene.
Wangui’s body was found in the kitchen, while her head was found in the corridor.
Police said an axe, a machete and two knives, all stained with blood, were recovered at the scene.
The report also said a message had been written on a wall in blood.
Suspect remains at large
Preliminary investigations identified the suspect as Walter Kipkoech, whom police described as Wangui’s boyfriend.
He reportedly fled after the killing and had not been arrested when the report was filed.
The scene was processed by investigators, and Wangui’s body was taken to Molo Sub-County Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Police said the area had been searched and efforts to find the suspect were continuing.
DCI Molo is investigating the case.
