THIKA, Kenya — Thika detectives have apprehended two Iranian nationals following a theft incident that left a Kenyan victim 15,000 shillings poorer.
The suspects, 56-year-old Heidari Mansoior Eslam and 40-year-old Babaei Ahmad Mirzaaga, were reportedly attempting to purchase a phone at a local mobile shop when the alert shopkeeper became suspicious of their conduct.
The shopkeeper recalled a similar theft in a nearby shop a month earlier and suspected the two were involved.
Acting quickly, he contacted a colleague, who arrived at the scene and positively identified the duo as the culprits responsible for the previous theft.
