NAIROBI, Kenya- Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged opposition leaders to resist what he called attempts to sow division, following speculation that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is courting Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Linda Mwananchi leaders for a coalition.
Gachagua hosted Sifuna and the Linda Mwananchi team at his Wamunyoro home in Nyeri on October 20.
The meeting prompted discussion about possible political cooperation ahead of the 2027 General Election, but no coalition agreement was announced.
Kalonzo said Gachagua and he had remained friends and allies since Gachagua’s impeachment.
He noted that Gachagua had visited his home in Muuna, Tseikuru, and that he had since visited Gachagua at Wamunyoro.
“What is wrong with friends and cousins visiting one another?” he asked.
Kalonzo accused unnamed people of spreading propaganda to create confusion within the opposition, but did not identify them or provide evidence for the claim.

He said the real concern for the government was the possibility of a united alternative.
“I have made it my personal mission to unite the opposition,” Kalonzo said, adding that political cooperation was more important than individual ambitions.
“Our unity is not negotiable.”
The remarks come as opposition leaders hold consultations about a possible common approach to the 2027 election.
The Wamunyoro meeting brought together figures from DCP and Linda Mwananchi, while Kalonzo said he would continue engaging opposition colleagues.
