KERICHO, Kenya – A Kenya Forest Service helicopter crashed while taking off from Kericho Golf Club, injuring some of the five people on board.
Those hurt were taken to hospital.
Environment Principal Secretary Festus Ng’eno was among the injured.
Y News has established that all five occupants survived.
The cause of Monday’s crash has not been established.
The crash comes months after a helicopter went down shortly after take-off in Nandi County, killing all six people on board, including Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno and a Kenya Forest Service ranger.
A preliminary investigation into that separate crash identified poor visibility and adverse weather conditions among the factors under examination.
