Ciggie Johnson DNA Test Revelation Leaves Him Stunned After 12 Years

NAIROBI, Kenya – Club host and content creator Ciggie Johnson has revealed that a DNA test reportedly excluded him as the biological father of a 12-year-old girl he has raised since birth, triggering a heated debate over paternity, fatherhood and the privacy of children.

Ciggie disclosed the result in a selfie-style video he posted on Instagram on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The video captured a phone conversation between him and the girl’s mother as they discussed the outcome of the paternity test.

According to the mother, the laboratory report stated that Ciggie was “excluded as the biological father.”

Ciggie quickly cut through the technical language.

“Stop complicated English… DNA says I am not the father.”

The revelation appeared to catch Ciggie off guard, particularly because he said he had spent 12 years raising and supporting the girl.

During the conversation, Ciggie reminded the mother that he had been present in the girl’s life since birth.

He said he had paid for her school fees and rent and supported her other needs over the years. He also shared a photograph of himself with the girl during the video, highlighting the personal nature of the revelation.

Ciggie said he had expected the DNA result to confirm that he was the biological father.

The mother also expressed surprise during the conversation, telling Ciggie that she had expected the result to be positive.

“Even I am surprised by the results because I knew it was positive. Whatever has happened has happened,” she said.

The exchange left Ciggie questioning what the result meant for his relationship with the girl and what had happened in the years before the test.

He also said he wanted to see the DNA report himself and have it reviewed by his lawyer before deciding on his next steps. The actual laboratory report has not been independently published in the reports reviewed.

After confronting the mother about the result, Ciggie turned his attention to the girl and insisted that she should eventually know what had happened.

He told the mother to explain the situation to her rather than allowing her to grow up believing that he had simply walked away from her.

“Tell her the truth so she does not think I am a bad person while you are the bad person.”

The mother agreed to tell the girl after school.

The revelation prompted fellow content creator Terence Creative to appeal to Ciggie not to abandon the child.

Terence drew from his own experience of growing up with foster parents and argued that the role of a parent can extend beyond biological ties.

“Sometimes it’s not DNA that determines if the kid is yours or not. The bond that you have created. The love and care that this kid has received is more than a DNA test.”

Terence then directly urged Ciggie to continue caring for the girl.

“Do not leave the child alone. Keep caring for her as you previously did. If you leave her, things will be bad. It will deeply affect her.”

Terence explained that the girl had grown up knowing Ciggie as a father and might not have another father figure in her life.

The revelation has also attracted criticism over the decision to make details of the paternity dispute public.

Millicent Omanga questioned whether the DNA circumstances should have been shared publicly given that the person most affected is a 12-year-old child.

“Some things should never become content.”

Omanga argued that the girl had no role in the circumstances surrounding the test and warned that public exposure could subject her to online scrutiny, judgment and emotional distress.

“Whatever happened between the adults, why expose a 12-year-old child’s DNA results to the whole world? She is innocent.”

She also warned that material posted online could remain accessible long after the current controversy fades.
