Mexican Student Receives Academic Recognition in Prestigious Blockchain Program in Switzerland

MEXICO – Rossy Karina Palomo Candila, a distinguished student from Mexico, has been recognized by the University of Zurich for her outstanding performance in the intensive course “Deep Dive Into Blockchain.

Rossy Karina holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán, a specialization in Cybersecurity from the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). 

With a strong commitment to technology for social good and environmental sustainability, she has focused her career on developing secure and sustainable tech solutions.

She was one of the select participants awarded a scholarship through the mpDAO Grants Program, an initiative by Meta Pool aimed at promoting blockchain education worldwide. 

This support enabled her to attend the University of Zurich’s summer course, which covered critical topics such as decentralized economies, legal frameworks for digital assets, and real-world industry use cases.

Her final project, developed in collaboration with other scholarship recipients from around the globe, was recognized by the faculty for its innovation and technical depth. 

This achievement highlights not only Rossy’s high level of preparation but also her dedication to advancing knowledge in emerging technologies.

“This experience not only strengthened my technical skills, but also broadened my perspective on how blockchain can transform key sectors in our society,” said Rossy after receiving the recognition.
