NAIROBI, Kenya – The body of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is currently being prepared inside the VIP Lounge at Kasarani Stadium ahead of public viewing.
Embalming specialists from Lee Funeral Home and government pathologists are at the venue overseeing the preservation process, which also includes a change of clothing and transfer into a new coffin.
The procedure, initially planned for Lee Funeral Home, was moved to Kasarani due to logistical constraints. It is expected to take at least an hour.
Once the preparation is complete, Raila’s body will be presented for viewing at the stadium, where members of the public, dignitaries, and international guests are expected to pay their last respects to the veteran opposition leader.
