Visa, Kenya Airways Partner to Launch Co-Branded Travel Cards, Elevating Customer Experience

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya– Visa and Kenya Airways have entered a strategic partnership to introduce co-branded credit and debit cards, a move they say is set to transform how travelers pay and engage with airline services.

The agreement will see the two companies deliver innovative digital payment solutions while offering exclusive travel incentives and rewards.

The co-branded cards slated for launch later this year will give customers access to a host of benefits, including enhanced loyalty rewards, priority boarding, extra baggage allowances, and airport lounge access.

“We are excited to partner with Kenya Airways to bring innovative payment solutions to travelers in Kenya and beyond,” said Chad Pollock, Vice President and GM, Visa East Africa.

“This co-brand agreement reflects our commitment to enhancing the customer experience and promoting the adoption of digital payments in the travel industry.”

The partnership comes on the back of sustained digital adoption in the aviation industry.

With these new cards, customers can also enjoy secure and convenient transactions across flight bookings, in-flight purchases, and other travel-related expenses.

Additional perks will include discounts and exclusive promotions for Visa cardholders on Kenya Airways services.

Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer at Kenya Airways, emphasized the impact of the collaboration.

“We are excited to join forces with Visa to deliver modern digital payment options that improve every step of the journey from booking to boarding. This partnership reflects our shared goal of transforming travel with technology.”

The rollout is expected to begin later this year, with both companies working closely to ensure a smooth customer onboarding process.
