WASHINGTON- White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has announced that she is cancer-free following treatment for early-stage breast cancer.
Wiles shared the health update on Wednesday after receiving pathology results during a recent visit to the Mayo Clinic.
She said the results showed no evidence of cancer, six months after she publicly disclosed her diagnosis.
“My recent pathology results from the Mayo Clinic came back clear,” Wiles said in a post on X.
She thanked her family, friends and medical team for supporting her during the treatment period. Wiles also expressed gratitude to those who prayed for her recovery.
The White House chief of staff thanked President Donald Trump for his continued support throughout her treatment and said she remained committed to advancing his administration’s agenda.
Wiles announced in March that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. She continued performing her duties at the White House while receiving treatment, taking time away when necessary.
Trump said at the time that the cancer had been detected early and that Wiles had an excellent prognosis. He described her as strong and said she would continue serving as his chief of staff.
Wiles became the first woman to hold the position of White House chief of staff after Trump returned to office in January 2025.
She previously managed Trump’s successful 2024 presidential campaign and played a leading role in his political operations in Florida during earlier election campaigns.
Wiles has remained one of Trump’s closest advisers and oversees the daily operations of the White House, including coordination between the president’s senior advisers, administration officials and government departments.
Her announcement received congratulatory messages from members of the Trump administration and other political figures.
Wiles said she was grateful for the outcome and acknowledged other women undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
The Mayo Clinic has not released separate details about her treatment or medical results.
