NAIROBI, Kenya – Monile manufacturer TECNO has launched its new SPARK 40 Series, a range of smartphones designed to cater to young, tech-savvy users seeking high performance, endurance, and affordability in one package.
The series comprises four models including SPARK 40 Pro+, SPARK 40 Pro, SPARK 40, and SPARK 40C.
The top-tier model, SPARK 40 Pro+, debuts as the world’s thinnest curved wireless charging phone at just 6.49mm.
A standout feature of the SPARK 40 Series is its durability and fast-charging capabilities.
The Pro+ model includes a 5200mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging, and introduces 30W wireless charging a first in its price category.
TECNO claims the devices can retain 80% battery health after 2,000 full charge cycles.
“These are phones built not just for today, but for the long haul.They’re durable, stylish, and smart—built with the future in mind,”it said in a statement.
Performance-wise, the SPARK 40 Pro+ runs on the newly introduced MediaTek Helio G200 processor, scoring around 470,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark.
The SPARK 40 Pro follows closely behind with a G100 Ultimate processor, delivering solid everyday performance.
For users seeking immersive entertainment, the Pro and Pro+ offer 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with a 144Hz refresh rate and Dolby Atmos-enabled dual stereo speakers.
The peak brightness of 4500 nits ensures screen visibility even in direct sunlight.
On the camera front, the series is equipped with a 50MP ultra-clear main sensor on select models, supported by electronic image stabilization and advanced image processing features for clearer and more natural shots.

Other notable features include water and dust resistance (IP64), Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and an array of AI tools supported by ChatGPT and Gemini integrations, all running on HiOS 15.
