NAIROBI, Kenya — POSH I.T is teaming up with Emmy-winning filmmaker Lisa Russell’s AI-powered platform, ArtsEnvoy.ai, to launch the Kenya edition of the Africa AI Creators Academy—a game-changing pilot program set to empower Kenya’s next generation of creative technologists.
Starting June 30, 2025, this month-long immersive academy will train Kenyan artists, educators, content creators, and digital entrepreneurs to harness the creative power of artificial intelligence.
Think of it as a boot camp for building the future of storytelling—with AI as your co-director.
Participants will gain access to over 100 AI tools—from script generators to music makers, video editors, art platforms, and more. And it’s not just about tech.
The Academy includes weekly live training sessions, a peer learning community, and a final showcase where students can flaunt their AI-powered masterpieces.
The program is rooted in a bigger pan-African vision: democratizing the AI economy by focusing on culturally relevant, story-first learning. No gatekeepers. No generic templates. Just raw local talent powered by world-class tech.
ArtsEnvoy.ai, Russell’s creative AI education platform, is designed specifically for storytellers.
Whether students want to produce a short film, craft a poetry anthology, or launch a social media campaign, the platform lets them ideate, edit, and export—all in one place.
“As an AI artist and filmmaker, I know the doors creative AI can open,” said Russell. “This isn’t just about learning tools. It’s about unlocking self-expression, entrepreneurship, and global influence.”
The Kenya edition of the academy will feature:
- Over 30 short video modules
- Weekly mentor sessions led by Lisa Russell
- 5,000 AI credits per student to experiment and build portfolios
And yes, applications are now open—with a limited number of scholarships available to keep things accessible and equitable.
