Sarova Whitesands Ejects MP Farah Maalim After Controversial Remarks Against GenZs

Date:

MOMBASA, Kenya – Sarova Whitesands Resort in Mombasa has ejected Daadab MP Farah Maalim following a wave of public outrage over his inflammatory comments.

Jimi Kariuki, the Chief Executive of Sarova Hotels, responded to the uproar by addressing concerns from Kenyans about hosting the controversial MP.

Kariuki emphasized that the Sarova brand does not endorse or support Maalim’s statements.

“He is no longer a guest at our hotel. We asked him to leave earlier today. We do not in any way condone his inflammatory and threatening statements against Kenyans and will not associate our brand with such a person,” he stated.

The controversy began when MP Farah Maalim made inflammatory remarks against young anti-government protestors.

Maalim allegedly expressed a desire to eliminate over 5,000 Gen Z Kenyans if he were president, a statement that ignited widespread condemnation across the nation.

His comments, seen as a call for violence, were widely circulated on social media, further fueling public anger.
