NAIROBI, Kenya – Kenyan content creator Rammzy, real name Ramadhan Oluoch, has spoken publicly about his custody battle involving his two sons, Lamu and Tawi, after securing joint legal and physical custody.
Rammzy addressed the matter in a statement shared on September 27, 2026, reflecting on his decision to remain involved in his children’s lives despite the difficulties surrounding the dispute.
“PSA I just want to remind everyone who told me courts dont work that despite delays and intentional sabotage, I have joint and physical custody of my kids cos I fought for them,” he wrote.
“I could have walked away into the sunset with a new baddie but I understand what loyalty and adulting is,” Rammzy said.
His comments renewed attention on a custody dispute that first came into the public spotlight after a Children’s Court ruling in September 2025.
Rammzy secured joint legal and physical custody of his sons following the legal battle involving his former partner, Shiko Nguru.
Rammzy’s latest remarks focused largely on his role as a father, while also responding to commentary surrounding his former relationship with Nguru.
He said his decision to pursue the matter centred on remaining present for his children rather than stepping away from the situation.
The content creator also addressed Nguru and media personality Mike Mondo, who has been linked to Nguru since her separation from Rammzy.
“I am happy for Shiko Nguru and her new man,they deserve each other (regardless of how you think this sounds),” he shared.
Rammzy and Nguru were previously known for their lifestyle content and their YouTube presence through The Green Calabash. The former couple shared aspects of their family life with their audience before publicly separating in 2022. The two had been together for more than five years and had two children together.
Their separation later became a subject of public interest as both moved on with their respective lives.
The latest comments follow a statement Rammzy made after the original custody ruling in September 2025.
At the time, he announced that the Children’s Court had granted him joint legal and physical custody of his sons.
“I could have been a provider with no care, presence nor emotional availability but I chose to be a fighter for them and today I have been granted joint legal and physical custody by the Children’s Court,” he said in the statement.
He said he had considered writing about his experience but decided to keep the focus on his children.
“I don’t know if I should write a children’s book for them or a man’s book for my bros going after father time,” Rammzy said.
“I had written a long letter about my ordeal but I have to be humble in this moment, it’s more about the kids than me,” he added.
Rammzy also thanked his family, friends, supporters and lawyer for standing by him during the process.
“Thank you to my family, friends, supporters and everyone who never doubted my intentions nor character and most importantly to my lawyer,” he said.
His latest statement also comes amid renewed online commentary about his former relationship with Nguru.
