Social Media personality Naomi Kuria has opened up about her views on love, relationships and her vision for the future, saying she does not see herself choosing a life of permanent singlehood.
Kuria, who describes herself as a strong believer in love, said she wants to build her future alongside a partner whose ambitions and plans align with hers.
Speaking about her approach to relationships to Alex Mwakideu on the AM TV, she made it clear that she values companionship and wants to experience both giving and receiving care within a relationship.
“I am such a believer of love,” Kuria said.
The media personality explained that she could not imagine deliberately dedicating her future to being a single woman.
“I honestly cannot live without a man,” she said, before clarifying that she was not referring to the statement in a sexual sense.
“What I mean is, I cannot dedicate my future to being a single woman,” she explained.
Kuria said her desire for a relationship comes from her belief in partnership and mutual care.
“I want to take care of a man, I also want to be taken care of,” she said.
She stressed that being taken care of does not simply mean receiving material support. Instead, she described her ideal relationship as one where both partners contribute to each other’s lives and plans.
For Kuria, compatibility plays an important role in determining whether a relationship can work in the long term.
She said she wants a partner whose ambitions complement her own rather than someone whose plans leave no room for her aspirations.
“If your plans align with mine,” she said, explaining the kind of relationship she would want to build.
However, she acknowledged that problems can arise when two people have fundamentally different visions for their futures.
“If your plan does not align with my plan, ama kwa plan yako mimi sioni plan yangu,” she said.
Kuria’s remarks centre on the idea that romantic relationships should involve mutual support rather than one person simply fitting into the other’s life.
She wants to care for her partner while also receiving care in return, creating what she sees as a balanced relationship. Rather than entering a relationship simply for the sake of having a partner, Kuria said she wants someone whose ambitions and direction can coexist with her own.
That means the relationship would need to give both people space to pursue their individual goals while building something together.
Kuria repeatedly emphasised her belief in love during the discussion.
“I am such a believer of love,” she said.
