Tobey Maguire has officiated his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer’s wedding to music executive Geoff Ogunlesi, taking on a special role in her new marriage just weeks after their divorce became official.
The Spider-Man actor presided over the couple’s wedding on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii. Maguire stood alongside Meyer and Ogunlesi as they exchanged vows, marking an unusual but notable moment in the former couple’s relationship.
Maguire read from papers during the ceremony before pronouncing the couple husband and wife. Meyer and Ogunlesi then sealed their marriage with a kiss.
The wedding took place 19 days after Maguire and Meyer’s divorce was finalised on September 21, 2026, ending a marriage that began in 2007. Despite their separation a decade ago, the former couple have maintained a close relationship while raising their two children.
Maguire and Meyer announced their separation in October 2016 after nine years of marriage. Meyer filed for divorce in October 2020, but the legal process continued for several years before their marriage formally ended.
The former couple share two children, Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17. Both attended their mother’s wedding, joining the celebration as their father helped officiate the ceremony.
Meyer has previously spoken warmly about her relationship with Maguire following their separation. In an interview with People magazine in May 2026, she explained that they had prioritised their children and remained committed to being part of each other’s lives.
“When Tobey and I broke up, it was very clear immediately that Ruby and Otis came first, and we really cared about each other as people, and we wanted to be in each other’s lives no matter what,” Meyer said.
She added: “And we didn’t want to miss a Christmas. We didn’t want to miss a Thanksgiving.”
Meyer has also praised Maguire’s role in her life after their separation, describing him as “the best dad, the best ex-husband, the best friend.”
She has further spoken about the friendship between Maguire and her now-husband, saying: “Tobey and my fiancé, Geoff, love each other so much.”
The ceremony attracted several high-profile guests from Hollywood and the business world.
Among those who attended were Leonardo DiCaprio, who was accompanied by his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sánchez Bezos, actress Courteney Cox, actress Kate Hudson and stylist Rachel Zoe.
Meyer, a jewellery designer, wore a strapless white wedding gown with a veil, while Ogunlesi wore a dark suit and bow tie. Maguire also wore a suit and tie as he officiated the ceremony.
The wedding came several months after Meyer and Ogunlesi welcomed a daughter together in June 2026, expanding their blended family.
Meyer announced her engagement to Ogunlesi in August 2024. The pair had been romantically linked since 2023 before taking their relationship to the next stage.
Ogunlesi is a music executive and entrepreneur who founded and leads an entertainment and music management company. He is also the son of Nigerian billionaire lawyer and investment banker Adebayo Ogunlesi.
Maguire, best known internationally for playing Peter Parker in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man film trilogy, has largely kept his private life away from public scrutiny.
