WASHINGTON D.C, USA – Global music superstar Beyoncé is set to mark the 20th anniversary of her iconic second solo album, B’Day, with an expanded deluxe edition arriving on September 4, 2026.
The anniversary will coincide with another major milestone for the singer as she turns 45 on the same day.
Released on September 4, 2006, B’Day became one of the defining albums of Beyoncé’s early solo career and produced some of her most recognisable songs, including “Déjà Vu,” “Irreplaceable,” “Get Me Bodied” and “Ring the Alarm.”
Twenty years later, Beyoncé is returning to the era with a 27-track anniversary collection featuring the original material alongside B-sides, Spanish-language recordings, rare songs and newer material.
The B’Day (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) will give fans a broader collection of music associated with the 2006 era. The 27-track package includes major hits such as “Déjà Vu,” “Irreplaceable,” “Beautiful Liar,” “Freakum Dress” and “Green Light.”
Beyoncé has also opened her vault for the anniversary project, adding rare and previously unreleased recordings alongside B-sides. The collection includes Spanish-language versions of several songs, giving longtime fans an opportunity to revisit material that appeared on different editions of the album.
The deluxe edition also features “Morning Dew (Donk),” the new song Beyoncé released earlier this year as part of the buildup to the anniversary.
Her official store describes the collection as a celebration of 20 years of B’Day, with the four-LP deluxe package featuring “Morning Dew (Donk),” Spanish recordings and B-sides.
The September 4 release date carries particular significance because B’Day originally arrived on Beyoncé’s 25th birthday. Twenty years later, the singer will again celebrate her birthday on the album’s anniversary.
That coincidence has made the 2026 milestone especially significant for fans, who have followed Beyoncé’s transformation from one of the leading voices of the 2000s into one of the most influential artists in contemporary music. The anniversary also gives Beyoncé an opportunity to revisit an era that helped establish the musical and visual identity she would develop throughout the following two decades.
While Beyoncé has confirmed the anniversary album release, she has not announced a separate physical venue for an official B’Day 20th-anniversary celebration. However, the anniversary date has attracted additional attention because her husband, Jay-Z, is scheduled to perform in London on September 4.
Jay-Z will headline Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday, September 4, as part of a series of performances celebrating his three-decade career. The timing has naturally sparked speculation among fans about whether Beyoncé could make a surprise appearance.
Beyoncé has also turned the anniversary into a major collector’s release. Her official store is offering a four-LP deluxe edition pressed on 180-gram “Bayou Blue” vinyl.
The collector’s package includes a 60-page commemorative booklet and two double-sided collectible art prints.
When Beyoncé released B’Day in 2006, she had already established herself as a successful solo artist following the end of Destiny’s Child’s dominant run.
