Fashion designer and entrepreneur Cris Njoki has paid a heartfelt tribute to her late fiancé, Guillaume Durand, three years after his sudden passing, reminding her followers that while grief evolves, love and cherished memories remain.
The founder of fashion label IKOJN took to social media on July 16 to mark the solemn anniversary, sharing an emotional message dedicated to the man she once described as her “rock, best friend and soulmate.”
In a brief but touching post, Njoki reflected on the passing of time while acknowledging that she continues to miss him deeply.
“3 years gone today, I miss you so much.”

She reiterated a sentiment she has shared before, that those who knew Guillaume should continue remembering him for the remarkable person he was and the positive impact he had on those around him.
Guillaume Durand passed away suddenly on July 16, 2023, leaving behind family, friends and colleagues who remembered him as a respected hospitality executive and accomplished business leader.
At the time of his death, Durand served as the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Africa, where he built a distinguished career within the hospitality industry.
Beyond his professional achievements, he was widely known as Njoki’s longtime partner and fiancé.
The couple frequently shared glimpses of their life together, with Njoki often speaking about the unwavering support Durand offered her as she grew her fashion business and established herself as one of Kenya’s notable entrepreneurs.
Following his passing, she described him as her greatest source of strength, saying he had been the person who stood beside her through life’s biggest milestones.
