Former Kiss FM presenter Kerry Martin has finally addressed the viral abandonment allegations that have dominated Kenyan social media over the past few days, firmly denying the claims and calling them misleading.
In a carefully worded public statement, Martin expressed frustration with how the situation has unfolded online, particularly citing what he described as misrepresentation by someone he once trusted.
“Over the past few days, I have become aware of certain videos and statements circulating online about me. It has been deeply upsetting to see my name and image misrepresented, especially by someone I once considered a close platonic friend,” he said.
The statement comes after TikToker Wanjiku Oltmanns accused him of abandoning her and their child born prematurely at 27 weeks in the hospital. She claimed he was a “deadbeat father” who left her to settle over Sh 500,000 in hospital bills alone while he was touring Berlin,
Martin was categorical in rejecting the accusations, maintaining that the narrative being pushed online does not reflect the truth of what happened.
“I want to be absolutely clear: the claims being made about me are not accurate and have been taken out of context,” he stated.
His response marks the first time he has directly addressed the allegations since they went viral, with many online users previously criticizing his silence.

“My legal team is in contact with the individual responsible, and I am trusting that this matter will be resolved accordingly,” he added.
He further indicated that he would not engage in a public back-and-forth, choosing instead to let the issue be resolved through formal channels.
“At this time, I will not be engaging in any further back and forth online.”
Martin also urged the public to exercise caution when consuming and sharing information, especially given the sensitive nature of the allegations.
“I kindly request that everyone refrain from sharing unverified information and allow this situation to be handled through proper channels.”
Alongside his statement, Martin attempted to bolster his defense by sharing screenshots of alleged private messages, which he claims provide context missing from the viral accusations.
According to the screenshots, the messages show that the woman initially stated she had independently chosen to keep the pregnancy and was willing to take full responsibility without his involvement.
He further alleged that the situation stemmed from a one-night encounter and suggested that the current accusations could be part of an attempt to “trap” him.
These claims, however, have only added another layer of complexity to an already polarizing story, with social media users divided over which version of events to believe.
