Musician Kevin Bahati has survived a road accident that left his Toyota Land Cruiser Prado badly damaged, just two days before his highly anticipated wedding celebration with Diana Marua.

The incident happened on Wednesday, November 4, along Thika Road near Kihunguro in Ruiru, where a 2NK Sacco matatu reportedly rammed into the singer’s vehicle from behind.

Images and videos circulating online showed the extent of the damage to both vehicles. Bahati’s Prado sustained significant damage, while the matatu also appeared with a badly damaged front section.

The crash comes at a particularly significant moment for the musician and his family, with the couple expected to celebrate their wedding on Friday, November 6.

Bahati took to Instagram to inform his followers about the accident, expressing gratitude that he had survived despite the damage to his vehicle.

“I just got involved in a Bad Road Accident. My Prado is Seriously Damaged, but we thank God to be Alive!” he wrote.

The singer did not immediately provide a detailed account of how the collision happened or disclose where he was travelling at the time.

However, his message quickly shifted attention to the upcoming wedding, which has attracted considerable public interest in recent weeks.

Despite the frightening experience, Bahati appeared determined not to let the accident interfere with the couple’s plans.

In a follow-up message, he suggested that the incident would not stop their celebration from taking place as scheduled.

“The devil knows he can do nothing to stop #TheBahatisBigDay, so he is trying the impossible ways! This Friday, November 6, will be the best day of our lives in Jesus’ name. Everybody say AMEN,” he added.

Diana Marua also reacted to her husband’s announcement, responding with a message of faith and reassurance.

“AMEN and AMEN!!!!!! No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper in Jesus’ name,” she wrote.

The couple’s followers have since had another reason to follow developments surrounding the wedding, which has generated widespread conversation because of its guest arrangements and the couple’s decision to keep the ceremony private.

Bahati and Diana announced plans to formalise their union on November 6, 2026, as they mark 10 years together.

The musician revealed the decision in October, explaining that he wanted to make their relationship official as part of their decade-long journey.

The couple has since shared glimpses of their preparations, including videos showing the delivery of invitations to selected guests.

Their announcement that each invitation would cost Sh1 million also attracted attention, particularly after Bahati said the ceremony would accommodate only 100 guests.

The singer maintained that the celebration was intended for people willing to pay the stated amount, describing the occasion as one for the ballers.

Bahati and Diana have also announced strict rules for the November 6 ceremony, barring guests from bringing cameras, arranging media coverage or livestreaming the event.

In a notice shared on their social media accounts on October 29, the couple stated that no media coverage would be allowed.

“POLITE NOTICE: NO MEDIA, CAMERAS OR LIVE-STREAMING WILL BE ALLOWED ON 6TH NOVEMBER 2026,” the notice read.

The restriction means that although the couple have shared parts of their preparations with followers, guests will not be allowed to independently document the actual ceremony.
