NAIROBI, Kenya – Musicians Nadia Mukami and Arrow Bwoy are preparing to release new music together, months after publicly ending their relationship and amid renewed speculation that they could be finding their way back to each other.
The former couple are set to release “Yumba” on Friday, September 25, 2026, marking another professional reunion after their breakup.
The two musicians have continued to cross paths through music and co-parenting, although they have not publicly confirmed that they have resumed their romantic relationship.
Their collaboration comes at a time when fans have closely followed their interactions since the breakup.
The pair have already shared the stage several times since their separation.
On August 1, Arrow Bwoy made an appearance at Nadia’s 10 Years of Nadia Mukami concert, where he joined her on stage alongside their son, Kai. The appearance immediately sparked questions about whether the former couple were considering reconciliation.
However, Nadia later pushed back against the interpretation. She maintained that Arrow Bwoy’s appearance did not mean they had reconciled and said their situation had not changed.
The two musicians were again together on stage on August 29 during the grand opening of an entertainment venue. Arrow Bwoy surprised Nadia with flowers as they performed their song “Dai” before they went on to perform “Radio Love.”
The performance gave fans another opportunity to see the two musicians interacting publicly months after their split.
Their latest song, Yumba, now takes that professional connection a step further.
On Monday, September 21, the former couple announced that the song’s official video would be released on Friday.
“YUMBA OFFICIAL VIDEO DROPS ON FRIDAY!!! Presave via link on Bio,” they announced in a joint social media update.
Nadia and Arrow Bwoy’s collaboration follows months of conversations about the end of their relationship. Nadia previously described the breakup as a painful experience, saying she had invested heavily in building a family.
She has also spoken about focusing on healing, motherhood, music and her businesses after the separation. In July, she said she was still going through the healing process while continuing to raise her children and work.
Arrow Bwoy, meanwhile, has previously suggested that he remained open to the possibility of reconciliation.
“Mbona kukose kuwa hope? Kama ilihappen at first mbona isihappen tena?” he said in July.
Nadia has also previously insisted that she does not use her music to attack Arrow Bwoy despite speculation surrounding songs released after their breakup. In April, she dismissed claims that her song Ex Harudiwi was directed at the father of her children.
“I want to categorically state that I cannot write a song kumpasha baba ya watoto wangu,” Nadia said.
She also stressed that she continued to respect Arrow Bwoy regardless of their relationship status.
“Hata tukuwe tumewachana; huyo heshima yake ipo,” she said.
Neither artiste has publicly announced that they are back together romantically.
