Basketball sensation Madina Okot is rapidly announcing herself in the WNBA after putting together back-to-back stellar performances for Atlanta Dream in what is shaping up to be her breakthrough moment.
The rookie center once again dominated off the bench on Wednesday night, scoring 16 points and grabbing five rebounds during Atlanta’s narrow 78-75 loss to the Golden State Valkyries.
Taking to Instagram, the Atlanta Dream celebrated her performance with a video.
“She’s going back to back! Shooting over 75% from the field for the second game in a row, Madina Okot is your Player of the Game,” they wrote.
Even though Atlanta fell short on the road, Okot emerged as one of the game’s biggest positives after delivering an incredibly efficient offensive display in limited minutes.
The 19-minute performance earned her Player of the Game recognition.
The Kenyan center finished the night shooting 7-of-9 from the floor, an impressive 77.8 percent efficiency rate, while helping Atlanta’s second unit outscore Golden State’s bench 26-14 during crucial stretches of the contest.
On June 22, 2026, Okot announced herself in spectacular fashion against Toronto Tempo after recording a career-high 18 points and seven rebounds in just 18 minutes.
Incredibly, she posted nearly identical shooting numbers in both games.
Against Toronto, she also went 7-of-9 from the field, meaning she has now delivered back-to-back elite performances while maintaining the exact same 77.8 percent shooting accuracy.
Across the two matchups, the Kenyan star has combined for 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 successful field goals from 18 attempts, all while playing fewer than 20 minutes in each contest.
The Dream currently hold a 4-4 record and now prepare to face the Golden State Valkyries once again when both teams meet in another showdown at Gateway Center Arena.
