NAIROBI, Kenya – PLP party leader Martha Karua has sent a goodwill message to Linda Mwananchi ahead of its launch, congratulating the group and wishing it success as it enters Kenya’s political landscape.
In a message shared on X, Karua said she was conveying the congratulations on behalf of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) and in her personal capacity.
She described Linda Mwananchi’s entry into Kenyan politics as having had “great positive significance”, while calling for unity among leaders and citizens seeking to address the country’s leadership challenges.
“The crisis of leadership from the highest to the lowest levels in our country cannot be solved by any one party or leader,” Karua said.
She argued that addressing the challenges facing Kenya would require a shared national effort, bringing together people committed to the country’s progress.
“We require unity of purpose that brings together all people of goodwill,” she added, before congratulating the group and wishing it well.
Karua’s message places emphasis on cooperation among political actors as Linda Mwananchi prepares to formally launch its political activities.
The statement also signals an expression of goodwill from Karua and PLP towards the emerging political initiative.
