NAIROBI, Kenya — The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has released the list of shortlisted candidates for recruitment to the positions of General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets — both Regular and Graduate — as well as Specialist Officers and Tradesmen/Women.
In a notice issued on Friday, the KDF announced that the successful applicants have been invited to attend interviews and selection exercises at designated centres across the country on specified dates.
“The Kenya Defence Forces is pleased to announce the shortlisted candidates for the vacancies of GSO Cadets (Regular and Graduate), Specialist Officers and Tradesmen/Women. The shortlisted candidates are hereby invited for interviews and selection on the dates and locations indicated,” the statement read in part.
The Ministry of Defence urged all shortlisted individuals to carefully review the official notice and adhere to all listed requirements, including reporting times, dress codes, and the presentation of original documents for verification.
KDF further cautioned the public against falling victim to fraudsters posing as recruitment agents, emphasizing that the process is merit-based, transparent, and “free of charge.”
“The Kenya Defence Forces does not engage intermediaries in its recruitment process. Members of the public are advised to report any suspicious activities to the nearest military installation or police station,” the notice added.
Candidates can access the full shortlist, interview venues, and reporting instructions through the official KDF website or via official Ministry of Defence channels.
The recruitment is part of KDF’s ongoing effort to strengthen the nation’s defence capacity and attract skilled professionals into the service.
