Nairobi, Kenya- If your daily route includes City Hall Way, it’s time to rethink your commute.

Nairobi City County has announced a temporary closure of this key road to accommodate the official opening ceremony of the highly anticipated WRC Safari Rally.

According to County Public Service Head Godfrey Akumali, the closure will stretch from City Hall Way roundabout to Parliament roundabout, starting Monday at 8:00 PM and reopening on Thursday at 3:00 PM.

For motorists, this means planning ahead and exploring alternative routes to dodge the detour-induced gridlock.

Safari Rally Preps in Full Throttle

With the WRC Safari Rally roaring into action from March 19-23, the event’s Service Park setup is already in motion.

Teams have begun docking their massive containers, ensuring every engine, tire, and suspension piece is race-ready.
