NAIROBI, Kenya — Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) customs officers have intercepted 40 undeclared iPhones valued at approximately Ksh8.2 million at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
The smartphones, comprising iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models, were seized from a male passenger who had arrived in Kenya from Dubai.
According to KRA, the interception was made on Thursday, October 1, at Terminal 1A International Arrivals after customs officers screened the passenger’s luggage using baggage scanners.
