Kenyan media personality Natalie Githinji remains under medical care after being admitted to hospital with a severe endometriosis flare-up, with her close friend and NTV co-host Laura Mbatha assuring fans that she is receiving treatment while asking for continued prayers.
Laura first shared the news through Natalie’s Instagram Stories, explaining that the digital content creator had been hospitalized after experiencing intense pain associated with the chronic reproductive health condition.
“Hi guys, posting on behalf of Natalie. Today is one of those days we ask you to keep her in your prayers. She’s having an endometriosis flare-up and is currently admitted receiving treatment,” Laura wrote.
The update immediately prompted an outpouring of support from fans, fellow media personalities and endometriosis advocates, many of whom flooded social media with messages wishing Natalie a speedy recovery.
Hours after announcing Natalie’s hospitalization, Laura returned to social media to provide a more detailed update on her condition.
Speaking directly to supporters, she revealed that while Natalie had received medication to help manage her pain, she was still not feeling well.
“I just want to update you about Natalie’s situation. She’s still not okay, but she’s been given medication. As we all know, endometriosis has no cure yet, so the best that we can do is manage the pain,” Laura said.
She added that Natalie was enduring significant discomfort but continued to face the difficult moment with remarkable strength.
“When I say she’s not okay, I mean she’s really pushing through. It’s not a pretty sight, but she carries it with so much grace.”
Laura thanked everyone who had reached out with prayers, encouragement and messages of support, saying the love from the public had been overwhelming.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out to say pole. Thank you to everyone who continues to check in on her,” she said.
According to Laura, Natalie is currently resting as doctors continue managing her symptoms.
“For now she’s resting and recovering, but every time you reach out, I let her know. She’s grateful to know people are thinking of her and standing with her.”
Natalie has never shied away from speaking about her experience living with endometriosis, using her platform to educate Kenyans about the condition and advocate for better healthcare.
Over the years, Natalie has openly documented the physical, emotional and financial challenges that come with managing the condition.
