Tanzanian music stars Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu have officially welcomed their first child together.
The couple announced the birth on Sunday, August 2, 2026, with Diamond sharing the joyful news directly from the hospital. In a heartwarming photo posted on his social media pages, the Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) boss stood proudly beside Zuchu as she cradled their newborn daughter shortly after delivery.
Accompanying the touching image, Diamond expressed his excitement and gratitude as he welcomed his daughter into the world.
“Welcome to the world, our precious little angel. You are already loved more than words can ever say!”
It is the first child for the 32-year-old “Sukari” hitmaker, while Diamond, 36, becomes a father for the fifth time. The award-winning singer also has children from previous relationships with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobetto and Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna.
Diamond remained by Zuchu’s side throughout her labor and delivery, offering unwavering support during one of the most important moments of their lives. Videos shared on his Facebook page captured the couple walking through the hospital corridors hand in hand as they prepared to welcome their daughter.
The emotional clips showed Diamond comforting Zuchu before she was admitted for delivery, with fans praising the singer for being actively involved throughout the process.

The hospital room later welcomed several close friends and members of the Wasafi family. Fellow musician Rayvanny visited the couple and shared moments from inside the ward, showing him and Diamond celebrating the arrival of the newborn.

The arrival of their daughter comes just days after Diamond organized an extravagant baby shower and gender reveal party for Zuchu at Mbezi Beach in Dar es Salaam.
During the event, Diamond publicly celebrated Zuchu and surprised her with a cash gift of $30,000 (approximately TSh79 million or KSh2.6 million), describing it as a token of appreciation and love as they prepared to become parents.
