NAIROBI, Kenya – Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz has once again opened up about his controversial visit to the home of disgraced American rapper and music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in the United States.
Speaking to Wasafi FM during an interview on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the Bongo star revealed that he visited P Diddy alongside renowned producer Swizz Beatz whom he said has been instrumental in supporting and mentoring him throughout his international music journey.
Diamond explained that after meeting Swizz Beatz, the two headed to Diddy’s studio. While there, he witnessed one of Diddy’s new artistes recording, alongside several other performers in the studio.
He also noted that Diddy’s children were present during the visit.
After the studio session, the Jeje hitmaker said they spent time relaxing by the swimming pool while sharing a meal before eventually leaving.
“Kutoka hapo tukashuka kwenye swimming pool, tukakula chakula kwa pamoja. Baada ya hapo sisi tukaondoka tukaenda zetu,” he added.
The Wasafi boss had earlier spoken about attending one of Diddy’s famous house parties during an August 2021 interview on Wasafi Radio.
Diamond revealed that the event took place just before the Independence Day (United States) celebrations.
However, the Tanzanian superstar hinted that certain moments from the party were too private to share publicly.
Diamond further revealed that Diddy had already been following him on social media even before his trip to the United States — something he viewed as a sign that the global icon appreciated Tanzanian music.
“Kwanza unajua Diddy alinifollow kabla hata sijaenda Marekani. Ina maana ni mtu ambaye anatambua mziki wangu, anatambua shughuli zangu, na kwa namna moja ama nyingine amependezewa na mziki wa Kitanzania,” he said.
The singer also disclosed that Swizz Beatz personally drove them to Diddy’s house for the party, describing the gesture as a reflection of the producer’s genuine support.
“Ilikuwa positive kwenye kila kitu, ndiyo maana tukaenda kwake.
“Hapo ndipo unaona mapenzi makubwa, mtu anaendesha masaa mawili kufika kwa Diddy,” Diamond said.
