Kenyan hitmaker Iyanii has added another major achievement to his growing list of career milestones after receiving four Gold Plaques from global music distribution company ONErpm Africa.
The award recognizes the singer’s remarkable streaming success, with his music catalog surpassing an impressive 114 million cumulative streams across digital platforms.
The certification highlights the widespread popularity of his music both in Kenya and beyond, cementing his position as one of the country’s most successful contemporary artists.
The plaques specifically celebrate the outstanding performance of two of Iyanii’s biggest songs, “Donjo Maber” and “Kifo Cha Mende,” tracks that have become fan favorites and helped elevate his profile in East Africa’s music scene.
According to the certification, the songs achieved significant streaming milestones, with individual records accumulating between 27 million and 30 million streams.
Among his most celebrated songs, “Donjo Maber” stands out as a defining hit in his career. The track resonated strongly with audiences and became a cultural phenomenon, earning extensive airplay and generating millions of streams. Its success helped establish Iyanii as a household name in Kenya and introduced his music to wider audiences across the region.
“Kifo Cha Mende” also proved to be a major success story. The song’s widespread appeal and strong digital performance further demonstrated Iyanii’s ability to create music that connects with listeners from different backgrounds. Together, the two records played a crucial role in pushing his overall streaming numbers past the 114-million mark.
The latest achievement comes just months after another prestigious honor. In December 2025, Iyanii received the Head of State Commendation (H.S.C.) from President William Ruto in recognition of his contribution to Kenya’s creative industry.
The national award highlighted the impact of his music and his role in elevating Kenyan entertainment on both regional and international stages. Receiving the H.S.C. placed Iyanii among a select group of creatives whose work has made a meaningful contribution to the country’s cultural landscape.
Taking to his social media after receiving the plaques, Iyanii expressed gratitude for the support he has received from fans throughout his journey.
“Donjo Maber and Kifo Cha Mende are officially Gold Certified” he shared.
The singer revealed that his ambitions now extend beyond regional recognition. With streaming success, industry accolades, and national honors already under his belt, he has set his sights on one of music’s most prestigious achievements—the Grammy Awards.
