Popular American streamer Kai Cenat has officially opened the doors to Streamer University 2026, kicking off a five-day creator bootcamp that has quickly become one of the internet’s biggest content events of the year.
The second edition of the online creator academy began on Wednesday, July 15, and will run continuously until Monday, July 20, with activities livestreamed around the clock for viewers worldwide.
Hosted at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, Streamer University has transformed the liberal arts campus into a creator playground where aspiring influencers, streamers and entertainers live together, collaborate and learn from some of the biggest names in digital media.
Unlike a traditional university, Streamer University is designed to immerse participants in every aspect of online content creation, from livestreaming and audience engagement to branding, networking and entertainment.
According to organizers, more than one million aspiring creators from around the world submitted applications hoping to join the Class of 2026. Only 120 students earned a spot.
The selected creators now live together in campus dormitories while taking part in workshops, collaborative challenges and livestreamed activities throughout the five-day program.
This year’s class features a mix of rising creators and familiar faces, including actress Skai Jackson, content creator Jeremiah Brown and rapper DreamDoll, among other internet personalities.
The competitive admissions process has further elevated the event’s status, with many creators describing acceptance into Streamer University as one of the biggest opportunities in digital entertainment.
Kai assembled a 26-member teaching staff comprising some of the most recognizable personalities across streaming, gaming, music and entertainment.
Among the headline “professors” are Grammy-winning singer T-Pain, pop star Lizzo, Twitch veterans Pokimane and Ludwig, as well as AMP member Duke Dennis.
The celebrity mentors are expected to guide students through collaborative content creation, livestream strategies, branding, performance techniques and audience building.
The faculty also includes “club directors,” who oversee themed activities designed to encourage creativity and collaboration among participants.
The opening ceremony began on a high note with a surprise appearance from Canadian rap superstar Drake. Although he did not attend in person, Drake sent a special video message welcoming the Class of 2026 and encouraging participants to make the most of the opportunity.
Unlike conventional conferences or creator workshops, Streamer University never goes offline. Every student is encouraged to broadcast their experience, creating a network of around-the-clock livestreams that fans can follow throughout the event.
Viewers can tune in via Kai Cenat’s Twitch channel, his YouTube channel, or monitor individual creator broadcasts through the official Streamer University Hub, which tracks every active stream in real time.
The nonstop coverage allows fans to experience dorm life, creator collaborations, classroom activities and behind-the-scenes moments as they unfold.
This always-on format has become one of the event’s defining features, blurring the line between reality television and livestream entertainment.
On Friday, July 18, secret alumni from the inaugural 2025 class are expected to return to campus for a surprise Homecoming event. The returning creators will reportedly “invade” the dormitories, creating unexpected collaborations and nostalgic reunions with this year’s students.
The planned appearance has fueled anticipation among viewers eager to see familiar faces return to the campus.
