Vera Sidika has strongly dismissed viral social media claims alleging that her Gen Z boyfriend, Arbantone musician Tipsy Gee, stole money from her and was arrested, calling the reports “false, malicious, and damaging.”
The celebrity entrepreneur broke her silence after the allegations spread widely across blogs and social media platforms, triggering heated debate about her personal life and her relationship with the young musician.
The controversy began after unverified posts circulated online claiming that Tipsy Gee had allegedly stolen from Vera Sidika and was subsequently arrested. The claims quickly gained traction, with users sharing speculative commentary about the nature of their relationship.
However, no official sources or credible confirmations were provided to support the allegations, turning the story into a typical case of viral celebrity misinformation.
As the rumours intensified, public attention shifted not only to the alleged incident but also to Vera’s dating life, particularly her relationship with a younger artist from the fast-growing Arbantone music scene.
Vera addressed the claims directly on her Instagram stories, issuing a strong and emotional rebuttal to what she described as intentional attempts to damage reputations.
She began by criticizing the spread of misinformation, saying:
“There’s some rumour going around and y’all gotta stop. Y’all are going to such extreme lengths to ruin someone’s reputation with lies? That’s honestly disgusting.”
She further emphasized that people should be free to dislike someone without fabricating accusations against them, warning against the dangers of online character assassination.
“It’s okay if you don’t like him, but making false accusations is a different story altogether.”
Vera completely shut down the theft allegations, insisting that she has never been a victim of such an incident in her life.
“Let me be very clear; nobody has ever stolen from me. Not even a single dollar. In my entire life. I’m far too smart to be scammed or stolen from.”
Vera also stood firmly behind Tipsy Gee, describing him in positive terms and rejecting any portrayal of him as dishonest or opportunistic.
She portrayed the young artist as respectful and grounded, challenging the image being circulated online.
“He is a good person. Humble, respectful and kind.”
Vera added that their relationship has never involved financial dependency or exploitation, dismissing claims that he had ever borrowed money from her.
“He has never borrowed anything from me, not even a dollar.”
