NAIROBI, Kenya — Kenyan content creator Vindee has been left out of Kai Cenat’s Streamer University Class of 2026, weeks after revealing during a livestream that he had received what appeared to be an acceptance email from the highly competitive creator programme.

Kai Cenat unveiled the official Class of 2026 during a livestream on Tuesday, July 7, announcing more than 100 creators selected for the second edition of Streamer University. However, Vindee’s name was absent from the final list, surprising many of his supporters.

The omission comes after Vindee had publicly celebrated what he believed was confirmation that he had secured a place in the programme.

Earlier email sparked celebration

Vindee first shared the news during a livestream with fellow content creator Thickyy Sandra as they reviewed emails sent to his inbox.

During the broadcast, Sandra opened an email related to Streamer University and read part of its contents.

“Your application has been received and reviewed. To proceed with the enrolment process…”

The message prompted celebrations from the pair, who interpreted it as an acceptance into the programme.

Following the livestream, many Kenyan fans congratulated Vindee on social media, describing the achievement as a significant milestone for the country’s growing content creation industry.

Name missing from official class

When Kai Cenat officially announced the Class of 2026, Vindee was not among the creators selected.

By the time of publication, neither Vindee nor Kai Cenat had publicly explained why the Kenyan creator did not feature in the final intake despite the earlier email.

The final class includes more than 100 creators from around the world, among them Skai Jackson, Queen Naija, StableRonaldo, Sketch, DreamDoll, Plaqueboymax, JasonTheWeen and Aishah Sofey.

African representation in this year’s intake includes Nigerian creators Carter Efe and Damii, alongside Ethiopian-American creator Elina Meng.

Streamer University, founded by Kai Cenat, has rapidly grown into one of the internet’s most sought-after creator development programmes, attracting thousands of applications from aspiring streamers worldwide.

The 2026 edition features a high-profile lineup of mentors and guest instructors, including Pokimane, Ludwig, Duke Dennis, Lizzo, Maya Higa and Agent00, while Fanum serves as the programme’s campus police officer.
