Billy Mwangi Denies Posting on His X Account After Release

Date:

EMBU, Kenya – Billy Munyiri Mwangi, the 24-year-old college student who went missing after a harrowing abduction in Embu town, has denied being behind recent posts on his X account.

Mwangi alleges that his account was hacked after his phone was taken during the abduction.

Mwangi’s family reported that he was found alive on Monday morning, appearing frail but conscious.

He was immediately taken to the hospital for a medical check-up.

His father, Gerald Karicha, revealed in court that the abductors had been trailing Mwangi for days before the incident, which took place on December 21 as Mwangi waited for services at a barbershop in Embu town.

Shortly after his release, his X account became active with a series of malicious tweets causing some to question the authenticity of his abduction story.

However, he has clarified that he has no access to his phone during the ordeal and that the posts were the work of hackers.
