I’ve Been Lonely For 2 Years: President William Ruto Hits Out at Rigathi Gachagua

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – William Ruto has finally opened up about his experience as President for the past two years; alongside former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The Head of State who appeared to hit out at Gachagua said he has been lonely at the top.

He made the remarks during the swearing-in of Deputy President Kindiki Kithure in Nairobi.

“I have almost become a lonely voice in the Executive especially in the Presidency,” he said.

What President William Ruto directed his new deputy to do

The President asked his new deputy to create awareness about Kenya Kwanza’s projects and programs.

“Speak about what we are doing. You are eloquent my brother. You are intelligent my brother. I am confident that you will do that which I have missed for the past two years, I know you will,” added President Ruto.

The head of state observed that his ruling administration had made a stride which his former Deputy allegedly rarely talked about.

“Today, our savings as a GDP are growing. We have changed and we have transformed our education system. Today, we have more teachers. We just announced another 20,000 teachers,” explained President Ruto.

How the Kenya Kwanza administration is transforming Kenya

He further said that Kenya has developed a new model funding that is student-based and which his government is refining to make sure that no child in Kenya is left behind.

“My dear, Professor Kindiki, I need your voice. I need your intellect to help me and help members of our Cabinet profile the things we are doing. To speak about the things we are doing,” added President Ruto.

Following his swearing-in, DP Kindiki assured his boss, President Ruto, that he would work hard to lighten the burden the head of state carries on his shoulders.

“Today is a day when I have received the highest honour of my life and I don’t take it for granted. I will provide continuity so we can all work together moving forward,” DP Kindiki said.
