NAIROBI, Kenya- President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto have celebrated their daughter Charlene as she begins a new chapter following her traditional engagement ceremony.
In separate messages, the President and First Lady expressed their love and pride while offering prayers and blessings for Charlene and her future union.
Rachel Ruto addressed her daughter with a heartfelt message, saying watching Charlene grow into the woman she is today had been one of her greatest blessings.
“My dear Charlene, today I bless you with a heart full of love, gratitude, and joy. Watching you grow into the beautiful woman you are has been one of my greatest blessings,” Rachel said.
The First Lady prayed for God’s guidance and protection as Charlene begins the next chapter of her life.
“As you begin this new chapter, may God go before you, guide your steps, protect you, and bless the home you are about to build,” she said.
Rachel also prayed that Charlene’s marriage would be marked by love, patience, wisdom and peace.
“May your marriage be filled with love, patience, wisdom, peace, and lasting joy,” she added.
She concluded her message by invoking a biblical blessing on her daughter and expressing her love for her.
“May the Lord bless you, keep you, and make His face shine upon you. I love you dearly, my daughter. Congratulations,” Rachel said.
Ruto Celebrates Daughter
President Ruto also congratulated Charlene, describing the occasion as a moment of pride for the family.
“As your parents, we are proud of you, we rejoice with you, and we will always stand beside you,” the President said.
Ruto also offered his blessing for Charlene and her fiancé as they prepare to build their life together.
“May God bless your union, deepen your friendship and fill the home you build together with love, joy and enduring peace,” he added.
The messages came after Charlene’s traditional engagement ceremony, which brought together family members and invited guests for the cultural celebration.
