Kenya Airways Enhances Digital Experience with Revamped Booking Platform

NAIROBI, Kenya- Kenya Airways (KQ) has taken its online customer experience to new heights by revamping its booking platform, aiming to deliver a faster, more intuitive, and user-friendly interface. 

The upgrade is part of the airline’s ongoing commitment to digital innovation, following the successful launch of its new website last year.

The revamped platform is designed to significantly reduce the time customers spend booking flights, featuring improved page loading speeds and a more seamless browsing experience. 

This second phase of KQ’s digital overhaul demonstrates the airline’s dedication to enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer at Kenya Airways, emphasized the importance of these updates, stating, “Technology is a key driver in ensuring exceptional customer service. Our goal is to streamline all our processes to ensure efficiency and convenience at all touchpoints in the customer journey.”

In a move to further empower passengers, Kenya Airways has also introduced a free online self-rebooking feature. 

This new service enables customers to easily reschedule flights during disruptions without needing to contact the customer service center. 

Whether it’s a delay or cancellation, passengers can now independently select alternative flights that fit their schedule, making the rebooking process quicker and more convenient.

This self-rebooking tool aligns with KQ’s broader mission to integrate advanced technology, giving customers more control over their travel experience and minimizing inconvenience.

Kenya Airways’ commitment to improving its digital platforms has not gone unnoticed. 

The airline has been nominated for the prestigious World Travel Tech Awards 2024 and received several industry accolades, including Gold for Best Ticketing Platform and Silver for Best Travel and Hospitality E-commerce Website. 

These recognitions highlight KQ’s leadership in travel and e-commerce innovation, reinforcing its position as a key player in the global aviation industry.

Kenya Airways continues to set the bar high for digital transformation in the travel industry. With its revamped booking platform and innovative self-rebooking service, KQ is making travel more efficient and enjoyable for its passengers, all while earning top industry honors.
