Socialite Vera Sidika has strongly responded to critics questioning her dating choices, delivering an emotional and unfiltered message aimed at shutting down online judgment.
In a social media rant, Vera made it clear she is tired of constant scrutiny over her relationships, calling out what she described as contradictory and unrealistic expectations from the public.
“Let it rest, okay? Let it rest because why would you guys say that I have to be dating billionaires, or politicians?” she said.
Vera Sidika has long been a topic of discussion online, especially when it comes to her love life. Over the years, she has been linked to men across different age groups and social classes, something that has consistently drawn mixed reactions.
“When I used to date all the men… oh, she’s a gold digger, she’s only with men for money,” she said.
She added that critics often accuse her of relying on wealthy partners to fund her lifestyle, dismissing her independence and business ventures.
But now, she says, the narrative has flipped.
“Now I’m just living my life… oh, she’s now a sponsor, she’s sponsoring someone else’s life. What do you want from me?”
Vera emphasized that dating is a normal part of life and should not be policed by outsiders.
“I’ve literally dated all age groups… people date,” she went on.
She revealed that she has tried different relationship dynamics, including dating someone her age, building a family, and staying loyal for several years.
“I even dated someone my age, had two babies, got married, and I was loyal for three years. It didn’t work out.”
She questioned why she is criticized both for dating wealthy men and for choosing partners outside that bracket.
“Is it a problem with me dating whoever I wanna date?” she asked.
“Watch me date my Gen Z… it doesn’t matter what I do with my life.”
