LOS ANGELES, United States — Actress, singer and director Teyana Taylor and hip-hop duo Clipse emerged as the biggest winners at the 2026 BET Awards, each taking home three honours during the star-studded ceremony held on Sunday night.
Hosted by comedian Druski, this year’s awards celebrated achievements across music, film, television and sports, with Kendrick Lamar and Kehlani also enjoying successful nights after winning two awards each.
Taylor was recognised for her contributions both on and off the screen, winning Best Actress, Video Director of the Year under her directing alias “Spike-Tey,” and the inaugural Fashion Vanguard Award.
Clipse dominated the music categories, winning Album of the Year for Let God Sort Em Out, Best Group, and Best Collaboration alongside Kendrick Lamar for their hit Chains & Whips.
Kendrick Lamar added Best Male Hip Hop Artist to his tally, while Kehlani won Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Video of the Year for Folded.
Cardi B claimed the Best Female Hip Hop Artist award, while Leon Thomas was named Best Male R&B/Pop Artist. British singer Olivia Dean walked away with the Best New Artist honour.
In the film categories, Sinners won Best Movie, while Michael B. Jordan was named Best Actor. Creator Jazzy’s World TV received the YoungStars Award.
Basketball stars also dominated the sports honours, with A’ja Wilson named Sportswoman of the Year and Jalen Brunson taking home the Sportsman of the Year award.

The 2026 edition of the BET Awards highlighted outstanding achievements across entertainment and sports, with Teyana Taylor’s three-award haul cementing her status as one of the night’s biggest stars, while Clipse’s long-awaited return was rewarded with top honours in the music categories.
