Media personality and global moderator Georgie Ndirangu has married lifestyle blogger Liya Blogs, with the couple celebrating their union in a private ceremony attended by close family, friends and personalities from Kenya’s media and digital scene.
The couple exchanged vows over the weekend in an intimate celebration that brought together guests for a carefully curated day and evening event.
The ceremony took place at a secluded outdoor venue surrounded by lush greenery, with the couple keeping the exact location private. The setting gave the wedding a serene, intimate feel while allowing the celebrations to unfold away from the public eye.
Liya Blogs, known for her polished lifestyle content and minimalist aesthetic, brought the same attention to detail to the wedding. The celebration featured a neutral and understated visual theme, with the outdoor setting providing a natural backdrop for the ceremony and reception.
The reception maintained the couple’s intimate approach, with carefully selected details creating a personalised experience for their guests.
The celebrations later took on a more energetic mood when a troupe of professional dancers from Mauritius joined the festivities.
Dressed in colourful outfits, the dancers performed for the couple and their guests before leading them into the dining area, setting the tone for the evening’s entertainment.
The guest list reflected Georgie’s connections across media, communications and Kenya’s digital creator space.
Among those present were content creators and media personalities Lydia KM, Eli Mwenda, Ajib Gathoni, Shiksha Arora, Martina, Maureen Bandari and Fola.
Georgie’s sister Lily Ndirangu was also part of the bridal party, serving as one of the bridesmaids.
The wedding follows weeks of carefully controlled announcements from Georgie, who had largely kept his relationship away from the public spotlight.
In February 2026, he appeared to confirm his engagement through a post centred on the word “synchronicity”.
“Synchronicity — a word coined in the early 2000s to explain how one or two goals, opportunities, plans and life align simultaneously — whether as an individual, pair, or more,” he wrote.
He followed the definition with a more personal statement: “Georgie and his fiancée have fantastic synchronicity.”
The post gave his followers their first clear indication that he was engaged, although he did not publicly identify his partner at the time.
Months later, in September, Georgie returned with another carefully produced glimpse into the relationship. The video showed him holding his fiancée’s hands, drawing attention to their rings while teasing the realities of planning a wedding.
“What flavor will the cake be?” he asked.
“No, those two can’t sit on the same table.”
“Four speeches maximum.”
“Is there an afterparty? Wait, are they allowed a plus one?”
He ended the video with the French phrase “Tout arrive à point nommé,” meaning “Everything arrives right on time.”
The announcement generated considerable curiosity because Georgie chose not to reveal his fiancée’s identity directly. The eventual wedding, however, brought the relationship fully into the public eye, with Liya Blogs identified as his bride.
