President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, has celebrated her bridal shower with close friends and family as she prepares for another milestone in her relationship with Tanzanian technology entrepreneur Isaya Yunge.
Charlene shared photographs from the private celebration on Instagram on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, giving followers a glimpse of the occasion and the women who gathered to celebrate her.
The event featured white and purple decorations, with a welcome banner bearing the words, “Welcome to Charlene’s Bridal Shower.”

Charlene wore a sunny white dress, while several guests, including her sister Stephanie Ruto, appeared in coordinated pink outfits.
The venue featured illuminated sitting areas, with strings of fairy lights adding to the evening’s atmosphere. A specially decorated cake carried messages including “Miss Babe to Mrs Babe” and “Hey Mrs Yunge”, reflecting the occasion and the transition Charlene is preparing to make.
The photographs offered a rare glimpse into the personal celebrations of the President’s daughter, who has largely kept details of her relationship away from the public.
Beyond the photographs, Charlene used the occasion to recognise the women who have shared different stages of her life and continued to support her.
In her Instagram caption, she described the bridal shower as a celebration of friendship, faith and the new season ahead.
“Grateful that the amazing women I have done life with over the years chose to celebrate me in my new season,” she wrote.
She also placed her Christian faith at the centre of her reflection, describing Christ as the foundation that would guide her next steps.
“Christ as our solid foundation and rock, the Word to guide my next step, the laughter and joy of sisterhood and knowing I have their love and support as I start to do life with the one He kept for me,” Charlene added.

She ended the message by thanking the women who organised the celebration, affectionately referring to them as “my dadas, my girls!”
She accompanied the photographs with Bridget Blue’s song Ngozi Kama Jua.
Charlene’s bridal shower comes nearly three months after she and Yunge held their traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, known as Koito ak Chaik.
The couple celebrated the ceremony on August 8, 2026, at President Ruto’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
The occasion brought together members of the two families, friends and prominent political figures, including First Lady Rachel Ruto, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s widow, Ida Odinga.
The ceremony brought together Charlene’s Kalenjin background and Yunge’s Tanzanian roots, with members of his family travelling from Mwanza to attend.
Yunge has also shared affectionate messages about Charlene as the couple’s relationship attracts public attention.
More recently, Yunge shared photographs of the couple on Instagram on November 1, captioning them, “Wake up with you.”
