FKF President Hussein Mohammed has alleged a coordinated smear campaign against him, linking the claims to internal reforms he says are aimed at tackling corruption.
In a statement posted on his official social media account, Mohammed said efforts to “clean house” had triggered resistance from individuals opposed to accountability measures within the sports sector.
“Once I started the process of cleaning house, it was inevitable that corruption would fight back,” he said, adding that the alleged campaign seeks to undermine his reputation and years of contribution to sports development.
He described the accusations as “malicious” and “fabricated,” warning that they risk eroding a legacy built on “sacrifice, dedication, and investment” in strengthening Kenya’s social fabric through sports.
“Through such a malicious campaign, a lifetime of sacrifice… can go up in smoke, just like that. Reputation ruined forever. I shall not allow it,” he stated.
Mohammed indicated that he would issue a comprehensive response addressing the allegations and what he termed “planned propaganda,” suggesting he is aware of the strategy behind the claims.
“We know all their plans,” he said, without providing further details on the nature of the accusations or those behind them.
