Kenyan singer and media personality Tanasha Donna has filed a civil lawsuit against businessman and social media personality Dickens Otieno, popularly known as Madollar Mapesa, following a public dispute over allegations that she borrowed millions of shillings from him.
The legal action follows weeks of social media exchanges after Madollar publicly claimed that he loaned Tanasha approximately Sh3.3 million, to finance a cosmetic procedure and that she failed to repay the money.
Tanasha has strongly denied the allegations, describing them as false and fabricated. She has maintained that she has never met, spoken to or conducted any financial dealings with Madollar.
Her decision to pursue the matter in court now moves the dispute from social media into the legal system.
The controversy began after Madollar made public claims that he had financially assisted Tanasha with money for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
According to the allegations circulating online, Madollar claimed that he advanced her US$26,000 for the cosmetic procedure. He further claimed that the alleged debt increased to approximately Sh4.8 million after accumulated interest.
The claims quickly attracted attention because Madollar presented the alleged transaction as an unpaid debt and discussed it publicly on social media.
However, Tanasha rejected the claims and disputed the suggestion that she had ever borrowed money from him.
The allegations remain contested, and Tanasha’s lawsuit will give the two sides an opportunity to present their respective positions through the appropriate legal process.
Tanasha responded forcefully to the allegations, insisting that she had no financial relationship with Madollar.
The singer said she had never met or spoken to him and denied ever requesting or receiving a loan from him.
She also challenged Madollar to produce evidence supporting his claims, including documentation that could establish that the alleged transaction took place.
Tanasha described the allegations as “FALSE and completely FABRICATED”, arguing that the claims could damage her reputation.
She later warned him with the phrase “See you in court,” indicating that she was considering legal action over the claims.
The dispute has now escalated after Tanasha’s legal team reportedly filed a civil case against Madollar.
According to reports shared by BNN Kenya, the filing did not happen immediately because Tanasha’s lawyers first had to establish Madollar’s actual legal name before preparing and filing the court documents.
The two controversies involve different parties. Madollar’s allegations concern an alleged personal loan, while the separate clinic dispute involved the cost of a cosmetic procedure.
Tanasha’s denial therefore does not amount to a denial that she underwent or discussed a cosmetic procedure. Rather, she specifically disputes Madollar’s claim that he personally loaned her money for it.
Tanasha has previously dealt with intense public scrutiny over her personal life and career, but the latest controversy has taken a different turn.
