Singer Arrow Bwoy has dismissed widespread claims that infidelity led to his separation from fellow musician Nadia Mukami, insisting that neither cheating nor his controversial song Side Chick was responsible for the end of their relationship.

Speaking in recent media interviews following weeks of speculation, the artist addressed the rumours head-on, saying many of the narratives circulating online have painted an inaccurate picture of what happened between the two musicians.

His remarks come after Nadia publicly confirmed that the couple had parted ways, prompting fans to speculate about the reasons behind the breakup.

Arrow Bwoy firmly denied allegations that he cheated on Nadia during their relationship. According to the singer, juggling a secret relationship would be impossible for him, joking that he would quickly get caught because he is incapable of living a double life.

“Kucheat ni kazi ngumu sana, mimi nikicheat nitashikwa haraka sana kwa sababu siwezi multitask.”

Translated, he said:

“Cheating is very hard work. If I cheated, I would get caught very quickly because I can’t multitask.”

He added that he never had a side chick while dating Nadia, urging fans to stop linking the breakup to infidelity.

Arrow Bwoy also addressed speculation surrounding his song Side Chick, which many fans believed reflected problems in his relationship. He clarified that the song is purely artistic and should not be interpreted as a confession or explanation for his personal life.

According to the singer, creating music inspired by fictional scenarios or broader social experiences is common in the entertainment industry. He also pointed out that Nadia herself previously released Woza, a song that touches on themes of infidelity.

While ruling out cheating, Arrow Bwoy acknowledged that the relationship faced several challenges over time. Among the biggest pressures were the demands of their music careers.

As two of Kenya’s busiest artists, balancing performances, recording schedules and public appearances often left little room for their relationship. Arrow Bwoy admitted that pride prevented both of them from addressing issues early enough.

Instead of sitting down to resolve disagreements calmly, unresolved conflicts gradually accumulated. The singer’s comments also come after Nadia Mukami spoke openly about her struggles following childbirth.

The award-winning artist previously revealed that she experienced postpartum challenges and depression, describing the period as emotionally difficult. The experience placed significant pressure on both her personal life and relationship.

“People meet each other, they love each other, and it reaches a point where things change.”

He noted that many couples eventually reconcile after taking time apart to reflect on their relationships.

“Watu wanaachana, watu wanarudiana.”
