A Platform for Collaboration and Innovation
The Connected Africa Summit 2025 is where policy leaders, tech pioneers, investors, and industry executives will converge to tackle Africa’s most pressing digital challenges.
Discussions will focus on emerging technologies such as AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Climate Tech.
Kenya aims to lead by example. Kabogo emphasized the importance of a multi-sectoral approach, ensuring that digital growth benefits all Africans, not just a few players in the tech industry.
“As a continent, we need to bridge the digital divide, strengthen cybersecurity, and create an enabling environment for fintech and digital trade,” he noted.
Building on Last Year’s Milestones
The 2024 summit was a major success, bringing together 40 ministers from 40+ countries to outline Africa’s digital roadmap.
Now, Kenya’s Principal Secretary for ICT and Digital Economy, Eng. John Kipchumba Tanui, wants to ensure continuity.
“Reflecting on last year’s Nairobi Declaration, we remain committed to advancing key areas like connectivity and emerging technologies,” Tanui stated.
Meanwhile, Stanley Kamanguya, CEO of the ICT Authority, stressed that private-sector involvement is critical.
“The summit ensures that businesses have a direct voice in shaping policies that foster innovation,” he said.
Even tech giants are paying attention. Robin Njiru, Regional Lead for the Public Sector at Amazon Web Services (AWS), called the summit “a crucial space for turning ideas into business opportunities.”
Speaking at the Connected Africa Summit 2025 Partners’ Breakfast, ICT Authority Board Chairman Hon. Sylvanus Maritim stated, “I believe our biggest responsibility is to create a thriving platform for the private sector. #CAS2025 #ConnectedAfricaSummit2025 #ICTAuthorityKE
