Kenyan Actor Inspekta Mwala Shines with Gold Medal Victory in UK Athletics Event

Veteran Kenyan actor and comedian Davis Hezron Mwabili, popularly known as Inspekta Mwala, has earned international recognition after delivering a standout performance at the National Dwarf Games held in the United Kingdom.

Mwala represented Kenya at the event organized by the Dwarf Sports Association UK, where he competed in multiple track and field categories and emerged as one of the top performers of the tournament.

He delivered a historic victory in the 60-meter sprint, where he secured a gold medal after an intense and dramatic race that showcased both speed and determination.

According to reports from the competition, Mwala initially crossed the finish line behind two competitors. However, officials later disqualified the athletes ahead of him after they were found to have stepped out of their lanes during the race. This decision elevated Mwala to first place, officially awarding him the gold medal.

The win marked a significant milestone, as he became the first Kenyan athlete to secure a podium finish in this category at the international Dwarf Sports Association event.

Mwala expressed pride in his achievement, stating that he had successfully raised the Kenyan flag high during the competition. He shared that the games ran from the 22nd to the 25th of the tournament period and brought together athletes from different countries competing across various sporting disciplines.

He further revealed that his success extended beyond the 60-meter race, noting that he secured a total of three gold medals across different events.

“I have raised the Kenyan flag high in the just concluded National Dwarf Games in UK which were organised by Dwarf Sports Association UK yesterday. Games started on 22nd to 25th and I scooped 3 gold medals,” he said.

The National Dwarf Games is a major international sporting event organized by the Dwarf Sports Association UK. The competition brings together athletes with dwarfism from around the world to compete in track and field events, swimming, and other sporting disciplines in an inclusive and competitive environment.
