Content creator Vindee has broken his silence after missing out on a place in Kai Cenat’s highly anticipated Streamer University Class of 2026, saying he has accepted the outcome and is now focusing on building his own content journey.
Vindee addressed the issue on social media after fans questioned why he was absent from the final list of creators selected for the programme despite previously celebrating what many believed was an acceptance.
The confusion began in late June when Vindee shared an email during a livestream that appeared to indicate he had secured a place at Streamer University. The email stated that his application had been received, reviewed and was ready to proceed with the enrolment process.
The announcement sparked excitement among Kenyan fans, content creators and several local media outlets, with many congratulating him for becoming one of the few African creators expected to join the prestigious creator programme founded by American streamer Kai Cenat.
However, when Kai Cenat officially unveiled the Streamer University Class of 2026, which featured more than 100 creators from around the world, Vindee’s name was not included.
His absence immediately prompted questions from supporters who had followed his application journey and expected to see him among the successful participants.
Addressing the situation, Vindee said he missed an email and wouldn’t assign blame.
“I missed the email, I was busy organizing Ashton Hall’s Kenya schedule and completely missed the Streamer University website confirmation email. No excuses….” he told his followers.
He also acknowledged the disappointment of missing an opportunity to learn from some of the world’s biggest content creators but insisted that he would not allow the setback to define his career.
“We keep moving. Everything happens for a reason,and we’re still cooking,” Vindee said, signalling that he intends to remain focused on his long-term goals rather than dwelling on the missed opportunity.
The email Vindee previously shared was interpreted by many as a confirmation of admission. However, it indicated that his application had successfully progressed to the next stage and that he was eligible to proceed with enrolment rather than confirming a guaranteed place in the programme.
When the final class was announced, it became clear that he had not made the verified intake for the 2026 cohort.
Streamer University has become one of the most sought-after opportunities for aspiring online creators since Kai Cenat launched the initiative to mentor emerging streamers through workshops, networking sessions and collaborative content creation.
The programme attracts thousands of applications from creators around the world, making the selection process highly competitive.
