Kenyan businesswoman and Yallo Leathers CEO Mercy Kyallo has announced that she is expecting her first child with her partner, Marvin Gichuru.
Mercy shared the pregnancy news on Instagram on Friday, August 28, 2026, posting intimate photographs that showed her growing baby bump alongside images of her ultrasound scans.
Alongside the photographs, Mercy shared an emotional message expressing her excitement about becoming a mother.
“The greatest gift of our lives… and we can’t wait to meet you, baby!”
The couple also marked the occasion with a two-tier cake carrying the message “Baby On Board,” adding a celebratory touch to the pregnancy reveal.
The announcement quickly attracted congratulatory messages from family members, friends and followers, who celebrated the couple as they prepare to begin parenthood.
Among those celebrating Mercy’s pregnancy was her elder sister, media personality Betty Kyallo. Betty took to social media to congratulate Mercy and Marvin, expressing excitement about the new chapter they are about to begin.
She described motherhood as a special journey and said she was looking forward to seeing her younger sister take on the role. Betty also prayed for Mercy to have a smooth pregnancy and delivery as the family prepares to welcome the newest member.
Mercy has built her public profile through her work in fashion and business, particularly as the founder and CEO of Yallo Leathers. She also gained wider recognition through Kyallo Kulture, the reality television show that followed the lives of Mercy, Betty and their younger sister Gloria.
The Showmax series gave viewers an intimate look at the sisters’ careers, relationships, businesses and family life.
Mercy has generally maintained a more private approach to her personal affairs, making the pregnancy announcement a significant moment for her followers. Mercy and Marvin have kept much of their relationship away from intense public scrutiny, although the couple has occasionally shared moments from their life together.
The couple has yet to reveal the baby’s sex or expected due date. They have also not disclosed how far along Mercy is in the pregnancy.
The pregnancy announcement also comes after Mercy previously spoke about a difficult experience involving fertility treatment.
In an earlier interview, the entrepreneur revealed that she had donated her eggs and subsequently developed ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), a complication associated with fertility treatment.
She said the condition left her hospitalised for several weeks and significantly affected her ability to walk and carry out normal activities during her recovery. Mercy described the experience as one of the most difficult periods of her life.
